Elementary Academy
CURRICULUM
Our elementary curriculum consists of basic teaching in Bible,
Phonics, Reading, Language,
Math, Science,
Social Studies and
Spelling. It is enhanced with
teaching in Art, P E, Music,
Computer
Technology and Chapel.
CO-CURRICULAR
The
following are also available
to students: School of
Music,
School of Art, Geography Club and Math Club.
PRE-ARRANGED ABSENCE
Parents may
take their children out of school at any time for various
reasons as long as
administrative
approval is given. When these
pre-arranged absences are
scheduled, we ask that you do the
following
in
advance of the absence. Parents should fill out a planned
absence form at least
two weeks before the absence. These forms
can
be picked up at the office or
downloaded from this site. Please
turn in the form
to your child’s
administrator
two weeks prior to the
absence. Upon approval, a work
assignment sheet is to be given to
the teacher at
least ten days prior to
leaving school. This form must
be approved by an administrator before
any work is assigned. The
planned absence must not exceed the absentee
limit. Failure to
comply with
this procedure will result in an unexcused
absence.
