Accreditations & Affiliations
Founded in 1986, Grace Brethren Christian School is fully accredited by the Association
of Christian Schools
International (ACSI), Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, and the
Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation (CITA). Accreditation is based
on meeting specific standards of educational practices: curriculum, faculty
qualifications, school organization,
media center and facilities.
Grace Brethren Christian School is also approved by the Maryland State
Department of Education, and is listed in the Directory of Nonpublic
Schools Approved by the Maryland State Board of Education as
the only approved Christian/private school with grades preschool
through 12th grade in Charles County (published January 2007).
It is the goal of GBCS to provide an education of scholastic excellence and
teach students that God is the source
of all truth. GBCS strives to develop
a Christian lifestyle and a Christian worldview.
